We often consider how our office will be most comfortable for us to work in. This is done by making sure that we have quick access to all resources and by setting the desk height so that everything is just right. But there is one thing that most people forget about: the lighting. Although you might not be aware of it, mood can have a huge impact on your professional creativity, mood, cognitive performance, and even your personal life. The right lighting can improve work performance and help you feel happy at work.
Different rooms and different spaces within rooms should be lit differently depending on the task at hand. Meetings need different lighting levels than a single work cubicle. It is a good idea to ask your employees what lighting conditions they prefer. You can ask them to tell you what level of light led lighting they prefer, and then experiment with different lighting levels. You might not want to maximize productivity in certain spaces. Different lighting is required for different environments. Appreciated employees will work harder. It is important to always make your employees feel valued.
Advanced semiconductor technology is used to create light with LED (light-emitting device). LEDs are much more durable than traditional incandescent light sources, such as the halogen lamp or light bulb. They don’t have a filament which will go out like halogen lamps and so should last longer. Because a higher percentage of electrical power is used to generate light, they are also more efficient.
LED lighting is often criticized for being too harsh, cold and poor quality. However, it’s the people’s perception of low-quality lighting that has made it so bad. Because of its efficiency, longevity, and ability to produce a beautiful quality light, LED is now the preferred light source for residential lighting design.
Building Regulations will apply to any new constructions or major renovations that need Building Control approval. Part 1L of Building Regulations deals with energy consumption in residential properties and requires that 75% light fittings be energy-efficient. Because LED lights do not require heat to produce light, they are more energy-efficient than traditional halogen and incandescent bulbs. They are gradually being phased out of use.
Fluorescent lights are another energy-efficient source, but LED is the best option for residential projects. It looks great and can last for many years. It is important to know that LED lighting has a distinct difference between lamps and fittings (a lamp is technical term for a bulb). This is one of those markets that there’s no quick or cheap solution. There’s likely a reason you aren’t paying too much for a fixture or bulb.
There are many factors that can affect the quality of LED lights, including their output, efficiency and colour. It is important to research the various options. Low-quality LED lights can appear yellowish, dingy, or too cold.
